SMS Privacy Policy

This SMS-specific policy applies to Chung TKD Family Communications and supplements the school’s general Privacy Policy.

Scope and roles

Grand Master Chung Tae Kwon Do is the customer-facing sender for Chung TKD Family Communications. Pillars Studio LLC operates the messaging technology and compliance controls for the school. Twilio and wireless carriers help transmit messages. The program is intended for adult parents, guardians, prospects, customers, and authorized staff; it is not offered for children to create or operate subscriptions.

Information collected

• Contact and account details, including an adult subscriber’s name, mobile number, email address, relationship to the school, and account or lead identifier.
• Consent evidence, including the selected category, opt-in method, date and time, source screen or script, disclosure version, brand or program, and actor or affirmative action.
• Messaging records, including messages sent and received, timestamps, delivery status, HELP and STOP requests, opt-out confirmations, and support interactions.
• Operational and security data used to protect the program, investigate abuse, maintain suppression, and demonstrate compliance.

How information is used

• Send informational messages the subscriber requested, such as class reminders, schedule changes, attendance or account notices, school closures, and service updates.
• Send promotional messages only when the subscriber separately gave prior express written consent for offers involving classes, camps, events, trials, merchandise, or seasonal promotions.
• Confirm opt-in, process HELP and STOP, honor preferences, suppress messages after opt-out, troubleshoot delivery, protect the service, and maintain compliance records.
• Comply with applicable law, carrier requirements, and lawful requests.

Mobile-data commitment

Mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, and consent records are not sold, rented, shared, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Consent for Chung is not reused for another school, brand, or SMS program.

Service providers and disclosures

The minimum information needed to operate, secure, support, or audit the program may be disclosed to Pillars Studio LLC, Twilio, wireless carriers, hosting and security providers, and professional advisers. These parties may use it only for those service functions or as required by law. Pillars Studio LLC may not use Chung subscriber data to market another customer school.

Choice, opt-out, and support

Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase or enrollment. Informational and promotional consent are separate. Reply STOP to any program message to unsubscribe from Chung SMS. A final opt-out confirmation may be sent; no further program texts will be sent unless the subscriber opts in again. Reply HELP for help, call or text (516) 457-1893, or email USAKickTKD@gmail.com.

Retention

Consent evidence is retained for as long as needed to demonstrate the permission relied upon and meet legal, carrier, audit, dispute, security, or operational obligations. Opt-out and suppression records may be retained as needed to prevent future sends. Message content and delivery records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above.

Security

Administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are used to protect SMS program information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Access, correction, and deletion

An adult subscriber may ask to access or correct contact information or request deletion of information that is not required for legal, security, suppression, or compliance purposes. Replying STOP is the fastest way to end SMS messages.

Changes

This policy may change as the program, providers, or requirements change. This page will show its effective date. A material change to the sender or messaging subject will not be used to expand an existing consent beyond what the subscriber agreed to.
